Wanneer niet jijzelf, maar je partner wordt gediagnosticeerd met Alzheimer<\/a>, is dat net zo goed een uitdaging voor beiden. Dat kan Christa Vogel beamen. Haar man Henk kampt met de ziekte, die er soms voor zorgt dat hij dagelijkse handelingen niet meer goed kan uitvoeren. En dat leidt tot ingewikkelde en toch ook wel verdrietige situaties. Om daarmee te dealen, en ervoor te zorgen dat Henk zoveel mogelijk dagelijkse dingen toch zelf kan blijven doen, komt er sinds kort een ergotherapeut bij hen over de vloer. Een ware redder in nood, zo bleek wederom deze week toen het Henk niet meer lukte om thee te zetten. Op LinkedIn deelt Christa de gemakkelijke maar zo waardevolle oplossing waar de ergotherapeut mee kwam.<\/p>\n

2. Op het platform omschrijft ze hoe zoiets normaals als thee zetten voor haar man ineens een opgave werd.<\/h3>\n

3. In plaats van die tegenslag te accepteren, ontdekten ze samen met de ergotherapeut wat de reden daarvoor was.<\/h3>\n

6. Al is ze ook benieuwd naar de kleine aanpassingen die voor anderen een oplossing bleken.<\/h3>\n

7. Haar post krijgt al snel honderden likes, en de complimenten voor de ergotherapeut stromen binnen.<\/h3>\n

8. Al laat helaas niet iedereen deze hulp toe. Zoals de ouders van deze persoon, die haar hart lucht.<\/h3>\n

10. Maar mensen reageren ook op het verzoek van Christa om soortgelijke ervaringen te delen. Want die zijn er, zo blijkt.<\/h3>\n

11. Vooral kleurcontrasten kunnen het verschil maken.<\/h3>\n

12. Dat hebben Christa en haar man ook gemerkt. In een update vertelt ze ons tot slot hoeveel impact de ’theekoker-truc’ op het stel heeft gehad.<\/h3>\n

“Het is overweldigend om te ervaren hoeveel reacties onze \u2018theekoker-truc\u2019 oplevert. Voor Henk en mij een extra aanmoediging om die kleine life-hacks in het leven met dementie juist met anderen te delen. We hopen dat het lotgenoten helpt om dit soort laagdrempelige hulp in te schakelen en daarmee meer plezier in het leven te behouden. En namens de waterkoker wil ik nog even kwijt dat hij nog steeds een beetje beduusd is van alles, maar zelf toch wel blij is dat hij zijn eigen voet nu ook gemakkelijker terug kan vinden”, aldus Christa met een knipoog.<\/p>\n
