Was soll das denn bitte? 😀
I'ts like a modern day confession, just to a machine instead of a priest
— Matthäus Wehowski (@MattheusWehowsk) February 9, 2019
2. Dann nimmt der Automat keine verformten Flaschen. Die kann man dann selbst aufpusten, …
"Yes this plastic bottle is slightly dented. No 25 cents for you."
I love standing in the supermarket taking caps off and blowing up bottles so they're back in shape
— Morris 'Boris' Dutchley (@Dutchtica) February 9, 2019
And then, the very same bottle gets crushed seconds later in the machine.

😒😒😒😒😒

Its not random, its a highly sophisticated quantum algorithm based on your governmental social citizenship score.
— Stolperstein@chaos.social (@MrStolperstein) February 9, 2019
That explains yesterday's complete shutdown.

Sometimes the pfandautomat is making noise to keep the cashier away from the checkout forcing him to do mysterious things in the back. It's all magic behind the scenes. I like that.
— fakecontrol2k19 (@fakeeye5) February 9, 2019
Sometimes the display says: "Please call Marktpersonal" and if you shout "Marktpersonal!" then, everybody look at you! 😂
— Der Pendler (@ArdbegForever) February 9, 2019
Yes! Abracadabra 🧙♂️🧙♀️ who knows what happens behind these lil closed doors…
— Jaygal (@Erbsenherzchen) February 9, 2019
I love the Pfandautomat!😁
— Conni (@ichbinconstanze) February 9, 2019
7. Schließlich sind die lebenden Verkäuferinnen viel einschüchternder.
How is it that you identified the worst thing about being German as being something in a supermarket, but it not being the terrifying speed of the checkout line?
— Digby 🌊🌊🌊2020 don't stop (@Digby_C) February 9, 2019
Having grown up in Germany (and Poland) I'm always slightly irritated by the slow scanning in other countries 😁
— Milan (@szoszk) February 9, 2019
8. Deutschland = Weltmeister an der Kasse, Verlierer bei Veränderung.
The lack of self checkouts is worse 😂
— Max (@MaxFassbrause) February 9, 2019
If you have plenty of things self checkout is slower than a normal cashier.
Judging by the amount of waste accumulated in London's waste bags only by nun returned bottles, I find our system to be quite helpful.
— Kai Michael Poppe (@kmpoppe) February 9, 2019
Terribly missing these machines here in the UK, telling me how little they care about the planet, if you see these bottles littering the streets and too many ending up in the oceans.
— Pretzel & Spelt (@PretzelSpelt) February 10, 2019
…. and then you forget to give the ticket to the cashier 😂
— obscurethingy (@obscurethingy) February 9, 2019
11. Jedes. Einzelne. Gottverdammte. Mal.
And next week the cheap heat printed paper has faded in your wallet so the cashier is having a hard time reimbursing you…
— Matthias Martin (@MatthiasWhist) February 9, 2019
12. Tja, wer darauf keine Lust hat…
13. … kann sein Pfand ja spenden. Tschüssele!
But you can just leave them out on the street and people in need collect them to earn a bit of money
— Zac Spitzer (@zackster) February 9, 2019
ooh there is also a super cool project: https://t.co/opu22SvM84 you can check, by city and district, for a list of numbers of Pfandsammler who have signed up and will come to you to take your bottles if you have a bunch
